“The 60th Anniversary of the EU Treaties of Rome and its meaning for Europe today”,
A Panel with European Consuls General from the signatory countries and FIU EU Faculty Experts

The Treaty of Rome, signed in 1957, established the European Economic Community (EEC) and is seen as a major stepping stone in the creation of the EU. The 60th anniversary in March 2017, when the Treaty of Rome will be celebrated, is an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to a stronger Union with the involvement of all the EU Member States that share the need to continue on the path to integration based on the set of shared values, ideas and hopes of the Founding Fathers.
