The Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at the European and Eurasian Studies is organizing many activities this Spring 2016
The Netherlands will take over the Presidency of the European Union (officially of the Council), as part of a rotating system amongst the EU member states. In the first half of 2016 Dutch diplomats will chair countless meetings in the Brussels bubble (and in Amsterdam), while ministries, cities, companies and NGOs organise a range of events in the lowlands.
This Spring 2016, the European Studies Center, a Jean Monnet European Union Center of Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh is organizing a virtual roundtable series on "Conversations on Europe". The Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at FIU, along with other European Union Centers of Excellence from the U.S. network, will be participating.
The French Consulate will be awarding “Chevalier dans I’ Order National de la Legion d’Honneur” (Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor) to U.S. veterans who fought alongside France during World War II.
