The European & Eurasian Studies Program and the Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence would like to inform you about this upcoming webinar on "Common Crisis: A Conversation with Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius" sponsored by the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).

EU countries are slowly opening up in the wake of the pandemic and the European Union is currently debating strategic recovery plans. The European Commission has proposed a 750 billion euro relief package that includes grants and loans for all 27 EU member states. This joint roadmap emphasizes the green and digital transition of Europe in its guidelines, reiterating President Ursula von der Leyen’s commitment to make the European economy more sustainable.

Join CEPA for a conversation with Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevičius to discuss the connection between economic recovery and investment in the European Green Deal, the role of digitalization, and the internal and external challenges that the EU might come across while working on implementing sustainable development goals.
