MEUCE Euro Challenge Competition 2024 - Semi-final & Final Rounds in NY

Congratulations to Maclay School, Benjamin High School, Archimedean Upper Conseratory High School, and PK Yonge high School!

These 4 Floridian High Schools competed in the national competition in New York City among 25 schools from 13 states on April 30th.

Maclay School and The Benjamin School won 3rd and 4th place at the finals!

During the recognition awards ceremony, the Florida teams had the privilege of receiving their trophies and being congratulated by Her Excellency Jovita Neliupšienė, Ambassador of the European Union to the United States of America.

A total of 100 teams from 17 U.S. states (Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin) competed for cash awards this year. Regional competitions lead to the final rounds in New York on Tuesday, April 30. 25 High Schools went to New York and four of them were the ones we have selected in Florida beginning of April!

In addition to support the trips to New York, the Delegation of the European Union to the United States sponsors a one-day trip to Washington DC for the top teams to visit the Delegation of the European Union, and Embassies.

The Euro Challenge is one of the EU Delegation's most important outreach programs for youth in the United States. Since its launch in 2006, Euro Challenge has reached more than 600 teachers and 7,000 students across the country. The EU Delegation is pleased to support this innovative academic competition to encourage American students to learn more about the European Union and its single currency, the Euro (€).
