MEUCE Euro Challenge Competition 2025 - Semi-finals & Final Rounds in NY

Florida high schools, Gulliver Preparatory School, Archimedean Upper Conservatory, and Florida Atlantic University High Schoo l, selected during the Euro Challenge preliminary round at Florida International University, Miami, in mid-March, will advance to the national Euro Challenge competition in New York City on Monday, April 28, 2025.

A total of 100 teams from 17 U.S. states (Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin) will compete this year. Regional competitions lead to the final rounds in New York on Monday, April 28, 2025. 25 High Schools will go to New York and among them the ones selected in Florida mid-March: Gulliver Preparatory School, and Archimedean Upper Conservatory. We wish them all the best.

Teams will present one of the following economic-related challenges in one member country of the “euro area”:

  • Climate Change and Going Green
  • Managing Migration Flows
  • Inequality, Social Mobility and the Gender Gap
  • Boosting Growth, Competitiveness, and Prosperity
  • High Government Deficits and Debt

In addition to support the trips to New York, the Delegation of the European Union to the United States sponsors a one-day trip to Washington DC for the top teams to visit the Delegation of the European Union, and Embassies.

The Euro Challenge is one of the EU Delegation's most important outreach programs for youth in the United States. Since its launch in 2006, Euro Challenge has reached more than 600 teachers and 7,000 students across the country. The EU Delegation is pleased to support this innovative academic competition to encourage American students to learn more about the European Union and its single currency, the Euro (€).
