The PICASSO project has organized a policy webinar on “Spectrum issues affecting EU/US ICT development collaboration”, held on the 28th of March 2018 (03.00 p.m. UTC).

The webinar discussed and refined policy recommendations designed to improve EU/US ICT-orientated collaborations – specifically in three technological domains: 5G networks; Big Data; and the Internet of Things/Cyber-physical systems (IoT/CPS).

The focus was set on connectivity and the interactions among EU and US spectrum policy, technology development and research that challenge existing spectrum management rules (esp. on licensing and access), and create a need for research to establish the possibilities and the impossibilities that determine the balance among different spectrum access control policies.

The participatory and interactive webinar aimed at validating initial conclusions based on a policy briefing on “Spectrum issues affecting EU/US ICT development collaboration” prepared by the PICASSO ICT Policy Expert Group and updated after the webinar.

The full briefing document was sent to all registered participants of the webinar before the webinar.
