The European & Eurasian Studies Program at FIU would like to share this virtual event from the Atlantic Council and Friends of Europe which will present a timely discussion on the impact of foreign information operations in Europe.

Please join the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab), in partnership with Friends of Europe, for a 360/Virtual event focused on disinformation campaigns surrounding COVID-19 in Europe.

The COVID-19 crisis has exacerbated the vulnerabilities and internal divergence of the European Union, while foreign actors like Moscow and Beijing are exploiting the crisis to expand their influence in Europe, including through disinformation campaigns and propaganda. Experts from Italy, Spain, and France will join us to discuss the impact of foreign information operations targeting each country and explore recommendations on how to tackle them.

  • Nicolas De Pedro, Senior Fellow, The Institute for Statecraft in London
