Webinar/Seminar:
How to teach Europe online: A Workshop for FIU Faculty
In collaboration with the European Studies Institute at the University of Indiana Bloomington, the European & Eurasian Studies program and the Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at FIU is organizing an hour and a half workshop designed to give faculty/educators an overview on how to teach in a virtual format the European topics and the European Union.
Topics to be covered may include:
■  How to design and deliver quality online courses?
■  What equipment do you need and how to use techniques?
   (microphone, speakers, webcam, and  Internet connection, preparing your workspace)
■  How to use documents and  other supporting materials  (PPTs, movies, videos, eBooks,
journals,quizzes, interviews)
■  How to increase participation, including debates
■  How to stimulate active learning in online settings
■  How to keep your students motivated and engaged (interactive sessions, discussion forums, Live Q & A sessions)
■  When to give assignments and administer exams
