Join us for an interactive conversation with Aurélie Bonal, who will discuss France’s reaction to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Ms. Bonal was appointed Second-in-command at the Embassy of France in the United States of America in August 2020. Her previous roles in the Minsk Group Mediation team while at the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) and as a Desk officer for Southern Caucasus granted her an extended knowledge of Eastern Europe and Russia’s diplomacy and politics.
Ms. Bonal also spent 4 years as a Political Counsellor in Argentina and deputy Ambassador in Ireland. More recently, she was posted as the Head of the Western and Nordic Europe Department at the French Ministry of the European and Foreign Affairs and as Press Counsellor and Spokesperson of the French Embassy to the United Kingdom.
Ms. Bonal is an alumni of the National School for Administration and of the Institute of Political Studies of Aix-en-Provence, France.
