EESP Lecture: Haiti and the International Community: A French Perspective

Join us for an interactive conversation with His Excellency Fabrice Mauries, Ambassador of France in Haiti , who will discuss Haïti and the International Community: a French Perspective.

Keynote Speaker:

ImageMr. Mauries was appointed Ambassador of France in Haiti in September 2021. A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, holder of an in-depth study diploma in international relations, Mr. Mauries is a former student of the National School of Administration ("Victor Schoelcher" class, 1996). He began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Directorate of United Nations and International Organizations (1996-1999), before being assigned as First Secretary to the French Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York (1999-2002).

Mr. Mauries then served as Second Counselor at the French Embassy in Beijing (2003-2006), before being delegated to the functions of Deputy Director of Southeast Asia at the central administration of Quai d'Orsay (2006-2008). Auditor at the Diplomatic Institute from March to May 2008, Mr. Mauries served as Deputy Director of the Far East (Asia and Oceania Directorate) from 2008 to 2009. He was Advisor then Deputy Director of the Minister's Office of Foreign Affairs from 2009 to 2010.   Mr. Mauries then served as Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City (2011-2014), then as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Lima (2014 to 2017). Returning to central administration, since 2017 he has been Deputy Director in the Americas and Caribbean Directorate
