The ongoing Russian war in Ukraine has paused the democratic electoral process, as the Constitution prohibits holding elections under martial law. There are also other challenges, including how to create conditions for political campaigning, organize the vote in Russian-occupied territories and abroad, secure the secrecy of the vote, and deal with Russian propaganda. Mr. Oleh Didenko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine will speak about the efforts of his country to organize and carry out the first post-war elections.
