The European Union and the United States face a range of economic, security, and global challenges best addressed through cooperation. Florida, with its strong European heritage and role as a hub for international business, tourism, and cultural exchange, exemplifies the deep ties between the U.S. and Europe. Ambassador Jovita Neliupšienė and fellow EU ambassadors will explore Florida’s strategic role in shaping regional prosperity and transatlantic diplomacy.

Ambassador of the European Union to the United States

Her Excellency Jovita Neliupšienė became the Ambassador of the European Union to the United States on January 1, 2024. She previously served as Lithuania's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation, and Chancellor and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2014, she was awarded the State Decoration Order "For Merit to Lithuania" Commander's Cross.
