MFJMCE Lecture: Power and Promise: Mobilizing the European Green Energy Transition

This lecture will discuss the goals and principles behind the European green energy transition. These goals and principles inform the methods used to bring the transition about, which sets in motion a set of power relations which contain both obstacles to be navigated and possibilities for social transformation.

Kellan Afinson received his PhD in political science from Johns Hopkins University and have taught and conducted research in the United States, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. His research is in the subfield of political theory, critical theory, political economy, environmental politics, and climate change, and has appeared in journals such as American Political Science Review, Telos, and New Political Science.
