On 29-30 September 2021, Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of an Economy that works for People, and Commissioner for Trade, travelled to the United States.
On this occasion, he participated in the EU-US Trade and Technology Council (TTC) held for the first time in Pittsburgh, in the presence of Antony J. Blinken, US Secretary of State, Gina M. Raimondo, US Secretary of Commerce, and Katherine Tai, US Trade Representative.
The European Union and the United States reaffirmed the TTC's objectives to coordinate approaches to key global technology, economic, and trade issues; and to deepen transatlantic trade and economic relations, basing policies on shared democratic values. This video shows Valdis Dombrovskis taking part in the conference entitled “Trade, Technology, and the Transatlantic Relationship" held at the University of Pittsburgh Jean Monnet European Union Center of Excellence (JMEUCE), and the round table with students.
