MFJMCE Lecture: Combating Antisemitism in the European Union

During the Holocaust & Genocide Awareness Week 2025, the Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, in collaboration with the Holocaust and Genocide Studies and Global Jewish Studies Program, organized a panel on "Combating Antisemitism in the European Union: Opportunities, Tools, and Challenges."

This presentation examined why and how the EU created a policy focusing on antisemitism and some of the policy tools the EU possesses to address it. We explored specific policies such as the EU’s strategy to combat antisemitism and foster Jewish life as well as other mechanisms not explicitly for antisemitism, but that the EU can utilize to address it.
