Enhancing EU-US research and innovation cooperation Webinar on Funding possibilities for US researchers in Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, is the world's largest funding programme for research projects. With a € 77 billion budget, it offers many possibilities for researchers and innovators of all thematic areas from around the world - international cooperation is highly encouraged. This webinar will deal with:

  • General Structure of Horizon 2020
  • Outlook on legal and financial aspects
  • Possibilities specifically for US researchers

The presentation is done by the German National Contact Point for International Cooperation (6th Challenge).

This seminar will be the first of a series of BILAT USA 2.0 webinars. This one taking a more general approach, the next four webinars will deal with the four priority areas for EU-US cooperation (Marine and Arctic research, Transport, NMP and Health). The following webinars will go into details of specific H2020 calls and conditions.

This Spring 2014, this is the third Webinar on funding possibilities for US researcher organized in collaboration with our BILAT partner, the German Aerospace Center, Project Management Agency, European and International Cooperation, Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Webinar on funding possibilities for US researchers with a special focus on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme (Horizon 2020)

Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, is the world's largest funding programme for research projects. With a € 77 billion budget, it offers many possibilities for researchers and innovators of all thematic areas from around the world. The H2020 programme includes the biggest European fellowships programme - known as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions - which is open for researchers of any nationality as well as for organizations from academic and non-academic sectors over the world.

This webinar will present:

  • general objectives and rules of MSCA in Horizon 2020
  • opportunities specifically for US researchers and organizations in 2014 and 2015 calls
  • other available grants and fellowships for researchers as well as support in legal and administrative issues related to international mobility of scientists.
