In order to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Warsaw Uprising, the MEUCE and Polish consulate in Miami are screening a Polish Documentary "The August Sky: 63 Days of Glory", followed by a presentation on "Warsaw "44: A Legacy of Sacrifice" by Dr. Marek Chodakiewicz.
Marek Jan Chodakiewicz is an American historian of Polish descent. He obtained his PhD in history at Columbia University in 2001. Dr. Chodakiewicz is Professor of History at the Institute of World Politics (IWP) in Washington, DC, where he holds the Kosciuszko Chair in Polish Studies.
