"Transatlantic Security Coordination in a New International Order:
Security & Defense, Data & Cyber Security, and Climate Change & Energy Policies"

This conference provides a broad policy discussion about how U.S- EU coordination and cooperation can provide mutual benefits for both partners in the face of increased geopolitical competition by emerging economies and authoritarian regimes, and the drastic changes in US foreign policy. This conference would focus in particular on three major security policies necessary for a stable transatlantic and global environment: security & defense, data- & cybersecurity, and climate change & energy policies. Whereas the EU in general evidences more stable policy preferences in these topics, once they have been put onto the agenda and negotiated internally, U.S. policy is often more dependent on the administration in power and on the geopolitical environment it is exposed to at the time. This conference aims to analyze if and how the EU and US can continue to speak with a single voice in an increasingly unstable multipolar environment in concrete, important policy areas.
