Fall 2016-Spring 2017 JM Projects
In Fall 2016-Spring 2017, the Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence will organize three high level Jean Monnet Projects on the following subjects:
- Transportation: “The Future of Local Transportation”
The panel will discuss the pressing transportation issues in Miami. The Topics will include mass transit, clean vehicles, and quality delivery of services at affordable prices. The need for new and improved highways that can sustain the influx of out-of-town visitors generated by the tourism industry and the increase in our local population will also be discussed.

This panel will discuss Florida Investment in research and development of biofuels, including the use of sugar and sweet sorghum. It will also cover the need for renewable energy sources such as solar and wind.

This panel will discuss the impact of nanotechnology on Medicine and its implication for the future in healthcare.
